Elliott’s Coffee Shop

Copper toned effect and copper leaf used to bow-fronted shop front Coffee Shop on the green in Chiddingfold, formerly "Treacles Tea Shop"

Copper toned effect painted lettering was required to this traditional bow-fronted shop in Chiddingfold.

Now becoming Elliott’s Coffee Shop, we had previously lettered this painted black signwriting onto white.

Whilst on site we were requested to add some internal lettering to a feature wall. Hand painted and “gilded” with copper leaf, this was hand drawn and worked on enlarging the logo by eye from the customer’s own artwork.

Copper was used internally and a One Shot paint externally as genuine copper and silver are subject to verdigris.

We also used copper leaf at a public house a while ago. Copper leaf cannot be beaten as thin as gold leaf, so is trickier to apply.
