Over the years Throwers have worked at many military and defence establishments, often recording the history of Regiments, Barracks and Camps. Through our lettering to honours boards, memorials, door plates, desk plates and vehicles we have indelibly marked events and occasions.

Before Thrower Signs was established in Crowthorne, Allen Thrower ran Academy Signs opposite the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst and Hampshire Signs serving the Army in Aldershot and aviation at Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough. We have been proud to serve the Royal Logistics Corps at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers at Arborfield Garrison and The Royal Engineers at Gibraltar Barracks, Minley and continuing signwriting services after moves were made into Wiltshire
